Of the leading 95 programs surveyed by Certification Magazine, Brocade Certified SAN Manager (BCSM) ranked first with an average salary of $117,110. Two other Brocade certifications also landed in the top 10, with the Brocade Certified SAN Designer (BCSD) coming in at number four with an average salary of $ 109,510 and the Brocade Certified Fabric Professional (BCFP) certification claiming the number 10 spot with an average salary of $96,630.

Brocade will launch a brand new BCSM exam in mid-December, with a corresponding course following in February 2008. The new offerings will extend Brocade Education offerings by addressing a series of key topics for any SAN manager to know for the coming year. The new exam will cover such important areas as managing SAN security; describing and implementing various SAN management tools; using tools to create SAN documentation; identifying methods and tools for troubleshooting; and gathering data to resolve problems, among other topics.
